Honda CB650 Tech Tips

The CB650 is a tough mid-sized bike. It's not a bad looker, either. There are a couple of things to look out for when purchasing this bike. Beware of head gasket leaks. It's going to be tough finding one of these bikes without one, as they're all getting a bit long in the tooth, but this is an engine- out job and it's quite expensive. Rotor and stator failure is also common and probably due to a bad connector between the alternator assembly and the rectifier. The connector with three white or yellow wires should be taken out and soldered up so’s not to corrode. This is a common Honda problem and this advice goes for all their bikes.
