The story so far:
2/20/00 The motor is out of the box and now rests in the frame. The motor was light enough so that I really didn't have a problem moving it or adjusting its position in the frame. Now that the swingarm and the frame are solidly attached, the rear brake works and the bike can be maneuvered around the garage without too much difficulty. I did hit a snag, though. The motor that came had a Bosch ignition rotor and the stator I have is for a Motoplat. I have the rotor for the Motoplat, so I'm going to have to pull the old Bosch rotor off and reinstall the Motoplat. This is going to take not one, but two unique flywheel/rotor puller tools. Fun, fun, fun. So the project is on hold until I can score those tools.
